Interesting News

I was kind of stunned and saddened to hear of the abrupt retirement of former Mariner Ian Snell. Snell was released by the Mariners after last season, and was a non roster invitee with the Cardinals this spring. The 29 year old was optioned to the minors by the Cards yesterday, and Ian just quit.

I wasn't a fan of his pitching, but I did admire the young man for coming out and talking about his problems with mental illness in Sports Illustrated last year. I hope that he can keep his life together and be able to continue at peace. Good luck to you Ian.

  1. I didn't know about his mental health battles. Let's hope it's a good step for him, healthwise.
