In case you didn't know my favorite player has a birthday today. Willie would be 73 today. He and the 1979 We are Family Pirates are what started my love of baseball.
I would guess it was probably the 79 Pirates that made me a fan of Wilver Dornell Stargell as well, though my memory is foggy as to why Pops became my all time favorite, I just know that he is. My have to steal this idea and post a few more of my stargells now!
