Today we settle the bragging rights in the state for another year. We all know that Dawgs are better than cats(Cougars) in every way shape and form!

Past, present, and the future

It is amazing to think where we have been, where we are, and where we are headed. In 10 years so many things have changed. I think it was great that many schools decided to do a tribute of some kind to the innocent victims of ten years ago. The University of Washington did a one time helmet change for yesterday.

The NFL finally decided to relent and let players wear special gear to honor those lost today, but originally was going to fine players for wearing unauthorized equipment.

I wonder we go from here. Will we ever know the full and true facts of what happened that day. I am by no weans a conspiracy theorist, but I have seen and read many things on it, and it makes me question the accurateness of all the reports we here.  This might be the most bizarre case of all- READ ME. I don't know what to make of it. Let's not forget as the NFL starts up this weekend, the man who walked away from the sport, and did what he felt was right.

Thanks to my boys in blue in Ann Arbor for taking ten years off my life by giving me a heart attack in the 4th quarter of this historic game last night.

Thank you to all that have served this country, all that are out there today defending us, and to all that lost thier live ten years ago today for no reason and were taken away from us.

Northwest Beauties

I know the title is deceiving, and you wonder where I'm going with this one. Things looked beautiful in the Northwest yesterday. The biggest news of the day came from New York when UW's own Jake Locker was drafted 8th by the Tennessee Titans.

You can probably start making new #10 jerseys in Nashville. Congrats Titans fans, this kid is going to be something special for you. It was an honor and a pleasure to watch Jake bring the Huskies back to Being good and going to bowl games. How did your team do in the first round? Are you happy with your team's pick or are you waiting to see what happens in the later rounds?

Where has this baseball team come from?? Are we actually a decent team, or are the Tigers that bad of a team? Either way I will take a sweep any day. This Pineda kid is really getting excited about his future. He's getting better and better each start. It gets rougher now with a series starting in Fenway tonight.

Sharks start the second round tonight against the hated Red Wings. They have had success against them in the past, so we will see how tonight starts the series.

Nice trade post coming tomorrow, hoping for some sun today to get a baseball game in tonight.

BIg Test

OK, I was wrong about my Zags. Today will hold another tough test for the other team from the state. These two guys need to step up big today for the Huskies.

I think if we can get big games from Isaiah Thomas and Matthew Bryan-Amining, they just might be able to outlast North Carolina. Two words for the day:

I believe we all know that I will be big on the Huskies party tonight. With a win, we would see Carolina next but first things first.

Also big props to my Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Eagles of Morehead State for knocking out two of the 11 teams that got a bid from the Big East.

 I know it's a tough conference, but come on 11 teams? How does St. John's get a 6 seed at 21-10 while the Zags were an 11 at 24-9? Oh well, down go the big teams. Here's to hoping your team wins, and

With a 75-63 win over Saint Mary's, for the 13th straight year the Bulldogs are going dancing!

Now my other team in the dance should already be in, but I don't like the way they have been playing lately if they make the tournament.

As much as I don't like WSU, I would like to see them make it so there is 3 teams from the state of Washington.
